Today feels very strange. It's Monday, but it feels like a Sunday. Mom's off work, there's no mail, stuff like that.

They finished resurfacing our parking lot last week, so I'm hoping tomorrow we'll start getting mail again. No, really- we got almost nothing last week, and I'm pretty sure it's because the mail carrier didn't want to hike across the tar. (It was, you know, sort of sticky and gross, but there really were places were you could walk on it, or hit the sidewalk. Mostly.)

I lost track of how many explosions I heard last night, but they finally died down. It wasn't even that annoying, except that I kept hearing bangs and being startled by them, then remembering it was 4th of July, and this kind of thing was gonna happen. Kind of annoying though, as I almost dropped Order of the Phoenix on my foot, and it's kind of heavy.

I sent the friends-locked HP fic I wrote to irreparable for beta, since she was cool enough to offer. Mostly I don't do much beta anymore, I just write things and toss them up somewhere. Not that I think I'm that good or anything, I'm just lazy. But it dawned on me I'm never going to get better if I don't have someone else look over the stuff now and then with an eye to what's wrong with it.

I've slacked off on theatrical_muse stuff again. Probably time to drop another muse. Or maybe all of them. You know, before someone comes to get me, instead of after.

Oh god, I totally understand the Theatrical Muse thing. I really do. I'm keeping an iron grip on Craig, but all the others fell to the wayside. Keep one that means the most to you and let the others go, man.

*snaps fingers* That's right- you're Bester. I knew I knew the person who wrote Bester. I'm just losing my mind a bit, that's all.

I could use a cloning device, too. If you find one, see if it'll clone itself for me?

Heh, and here I thought that the tonnage of Psi Corps related icons I'm using would be enough to hint at the connection ;) Guess I need to stock up!

*ponders* Should I buy myself those 50 user icons...?

You know what really annoys me? The fact that I checked out greatestjournal.com the past week when LJ was running so slow (or rather not at all), and over there you get all those things (and more!) for free. Hrm.

You know, I have a greatestjournal- also "urbandruid" because I am creative- that I hardly do anything with. I love the number of icons you can have. I was going to use it as a writing journal, but apparently I am just a bit too lazy for this.
