Flu update

urbandruidI'm feeling slightly better today- still a bit shaky, but much less grossed out by the idea of food. So there may be hope for me after all.
As an added bonus, our cable TV is back. Something blew up when the power went out (perhaps that big BANG had some effect?) and it wasn't working. And cable has this crazy thing where they won't come fix it in a hurry unless two other people call and complain about the same thing. But I guess that some of my neighbors finally noticed they didn't have cable, as it's back now.
I mean, I couldn't even watch the news last night, or COPS reruns or anything. I had to settle for tossing in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, drooling over Snape, and making fun of Hermione for being a truly insufferable know-it-all. (Oh yes, and the hair, which was very bushy in SS.) It was very sad.
I noticed a couple things, though, or maybe it's just that I'm sick and my brain works oddly when I'm sick. Anyway, I think Snape might have Invisibility Cloak raidar. I know it's movie canon, but there's this expression on his face when he's threatening Quirrell that just says he knows Harry is right there. And the way he reaches out, it's not a blind reach, like he thinks maybe something is there... *shrugs*
Gods, I am going to murder livejournal. It tells me a comment hasn't posted, so I try again and again. End up posting it three times, and now it's being a pain in the ass about letting me delete the extras. Grr. Vastly annoying, this is. Okay, there it goes, finally. But LJ is still slightly evil.
Anyway, I think I'm off to watch some TV, now that it works again. Or perhaps a movie or some Buffy.
edit: fixed some typos, including the major one where it now says "when he was threatening Quirrell", because it used to say "when he was Quirrell". Cannot believe no one mocked me for this. I'm mocking me for this.
