Got my tests back today; 95% on the Algebra II (!) and 100% on the Soc. She hasn't graded the essays yet, but I'm not too worried.
Freedom! No class for days and days... only two, actually, but with my schedule that means I don't have to be anywhere till next Wednesday. (Except the eye doctor's on Friday... wonder if they remember me. ;)
I have fic to finish, a bit of homework to do, and... all this time. It's great.
I'll probably end up wasting it, but as long as I feel motivated (and maybe I'm not getting sick after all; I think I'm a bit better today)- well, I might as well try, right?
Right.
So. I can have a fourth character to write for in
theatrical_muse. Of course I want one. I came up with a list of possibilities on my lunch break today. (Many of them are obscure, even by my standards. But if you happen to know who some of them are and want to offer a second opinion, I wouldn't turn it away.)
Lira Wessix:
I was very close to chosing Lira, for her obscurity alone. She designed the Imperial Star Destroyers; her father designed the older model, the Victory class. Dad's a Rebel, Lira...isn't. That's just about everything anyone knows about her. I love her, and want to play around with her a bit. But... *sigh* I dunno.
Marilyn Stark:
Stark... Stark just haunts me. She's crazy, but she won't leave me alone. I've been wanting to write her more, and t_m would give me that chance.
Gilad Pellaeon:
I love Pellaeon. Have always loved Pellaeon. He's the 'nice guy' on the Imperial side of the fence. (Yes, I like the Empire. It sucks, but they had the coolest characters...) I have a serious weakness for the older guys who can fall into that category of being someone's distinguished mentor... Plus I think the poor guy could use a little love.
Thrawn- One of my favorite characters of all time, but I don't know that I'm up to writing him. I'd like to try sometime, but I don't know if I'm good enough.
Daren Palpatine:
One of my favorite originals of all time, and she knows it. Also the first original. She predates Cray, predates Gillian, predates all of them. Maladjusted Imperial Grand Admiral, Palpatine's daughter. She was sleeping for a while, content to pester me only every now and then. Now she's woken up, and she wants her fair share of my time. Oh, boy does she ever... And I'm tempted to give in to her on this, because it's Daren. *sigh*
Palpatine (Emperor):
Like Thrawn, I love this guy to death, but I don't know if I could write him well enough. I'd also like to see someone else pick him up, just so
jaina_muse can tell him off without me being involved in both sides of the conversation. (I can do that; I've done it before. I'd just rather not.)
unless
vote_bob counts as our Palpatine... ;)
Alaina Tierce:
Another original of mine; a woman in the Emperor's Royal Guards. (Those people in red cloaks and helmets in Return of the Jedi.) I had a blast playing Alaina in a short-lived Empire-centric RPG, and she's never really gotten her fair share since. Is a bit put out about it, too. *sigh* If it's not the crazy Grand Admirals (Daren) it's the nutty guardswoman waving the force pike at me (Alaina, of course.) And t_m would be a chance to give her that starring role she's been missing out on since that game...
Well. You'd be amazed how little that helps, except that Palpatine and Thrawn are probably out. I'm very tempted by Thrawn, though... But the problem is that I'm also tempted by Lira, Stark, Daren, Alaina, Pellaeon... *sigh* I'm getting there, though. I had 13 on the list when I started making it, and I got rid of a couple while I was writing this up. Now I'm down to 7. And I can't decide from there... Think I'll go off and think about this for a bit.

How did you do that?
Oh my...
Congratulations!

Date: 2004-02-12 12:58 pm (UTC)How did I do it? Well, studying helps... :) It also helps that I take my math tests in the disabled students office, where they let me sit in a quiet room and have time and a half to think things through and write it all down. (I write slower because of my vision problems.)
I was very excited, though. I don't think I've ever gotten a grade that good on a math test.
