urbandruidIt's 3AM. I've been reading since I got home, at 1:00.
Have finished up to chapter 13.
Spoilers behind the cut.
Mundungus Fletcher is a character. Love him.
JKR was right- the real Moody is lots cooler.
Dolores Umbridge is a vile evil bitch! I wanted to weep, for what she did to Harry- that horrid quill...
The book is hilarious in places, but in others it is so dark, so dark... Whatever it was before, Harry Potter ceases to be a children's series right here, right now.
I can see Hermione as a prefect, but why the hell is Ron? Neville could use the experience of standing up to people more.
There is not enough Snape. He should have stayed for dinner, it would have been great.
Percy is so turning evil. That's not a spoiler, it's just a guess. He's the current generation's answer to Barty Crouch, Sr- he's going to end up going militantly anti-Dark for the sake of the 'cause', and we all know where that landed Crouch, don't we?
Narcissa is Sirius's cousin! *dies laughing* Well, there's one ship dead in the water...
Mrs. Lestrange's first name bites. Perhaps I'll get used to it in time.
Erm, yes. I'll stop there, as I should really go to bed.
Barns & Noble was crazy, handed out tickets for those of us who'd reserved copies, then they called us by lot numbers- we, of course, were in the dead last, or as I put it, "mob scene" group.

fablespinner, you remember those fire code violations at the crappy anime con? Man- B&N had them beat, let me tell you. Don't know what they'd have done if there was a fire, but somebody would've sued and probably won, I'm sure.
I think this book was worth a 3 year wait, but that doesn't mean I'm anxious to go through that again.

*lol* Ron? Conflict management skills? No, he sure doesn't. I think if Harry had been made a prefect, it would've been because he was Harry Potter. And I'm tired of seeing Harry get special treatment. So that worked out alright.
Bellatrix as a name is growing on me. You know, she scares me too, but if you think of her as the only female Death Eater we've seen, maybe the only one who exists, she'd have to be pretty- well, tough I guess- to survive with the men. More evil than the evil, and all that. In a way I see her as a better villain than Voldemort.
Poor misguided Percy...I do hope some day he gets it together.
