1. If you had to choose an alias, what would it be?

2. Where were you on 9/11?

In my doctor's office in Yuba City. I had a checkup for a refill on my allergy meds. I was talking to the receptionist, and someone called to cancel their appointment, said they didn't want to come with what was going on that day. We couldn't figure out what this person was talking about. I didn't know anything about it until Mom dropped me off at home and I flipped on the TV. Spent the rest of the day emailing back and forth with my mother and my friends, trying to make sure everyone we knew was okay. My great aunt works in NYC, and even though I knew she had no reason to be near the towers, I was pretty scared. (She's fine, by the way.)

3. What is your ideal vacation?

A whole summer in Monterey, California. I love it there. The weather's wonderful, and there's a lot to do there- or you can just sit on the beach all day. My parents took me there when I was a kid- Dennis the Menace park is still one of my favorite places. I could probably still have fun there now.

4. How many first cousins do you have?

Two, but I've never met them and I probably never will.

5. How do you take your pizza?

Pepperoni, sometimes a combination, no anchovies or peppers. I ate a lot of veggie pizza last year though, as my friend Jonni is a vegetarian. It wasn't all that bad. :)

6. If you could be fluent in any foreign language (that you are not already) what would it be?

Russian.

7. What is your favorite website?

I have so many... I'm fond of Silverlake though. And offcentre.net, and my own sites of course. ;)

8. If you could experience another era of history, which would it be?

The middle ages, although I think the lack of hygiene would bother me.

9. What is your favorite genre of movies?

Science fiction. But I'll take a good action movie with lots of explosions- Terminator 2 is my current fave in the action category. :)

10. If you could have any one superpower, what would it be?

This is a really hard question to answer for some reason... I'm tempted to be flippant and say the ability to generate ice, because there are never enough cold drinks here. Okay, I'll be flippant. Next!

11. Can you whistle?

Not at all. I can't snap my fingers, either. I can make the motion, but there's no sound.

12. If you could be any animal for a day, what would it be?

A tiger, I suppose.

13. Who is your favorite fictional character?

I can only pick one? What, are you mad? Honor Harrington from David Weber's books is quite cool. But then there's this guy named Severus Snape...

14. Star Wars or Star Trek?

Both, in an odd sort of way. I grew up on The Next Generation, but have never gotten seriously into ST fandom as an adult. It's just too- something. I will always love Next Gen though. And Star Wars... love Star Wars, but the fandom is a nightmare in a lot of ways. I feel as if I've outgrown it.

15. What is your favorite beverage?

Diet Pepsi- no, Snapple Iced Tea. Love that stuff.

16. What brand of toothpaste do you use?

I don't even remember. I can go look.

17. What is your favorite professional sports team?

Ew, sports. I'm not much for pro sports. I like the Fresno State football team, though. It's a local thing. :)

18. Are you "indoorsy" or "outdoorsy"?

Indoorsy, really. I like being outdoors, but I don't like bugs, I have sensitive skin... you get the picture.

19. What is your earliest childhood memory?

I swear to you it's watching The Empire Strikes Back, when Luke meets Yoda. No, really.

20. If you could play any musical instrument, what would it be?

Guitar.

21. What's your favorite accent?

Mmm... british or scottish, I suppose.

22. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a heart surgeon. Or a teacher.

23. Are you a dog person or a cat person?

Cat person, but I like dogs.

24. If they were making a movie or TV show of your life, who would you choose to play you?

Dunno. How many short, geeky actresses do you know?

25. What is your favorite element (earth, fire, water or air)?

Water. I can't swim really well, but still...water.

26. If you could compete in any event in the Olympics (summer or winter) what would it be?

Summer, equestrian. Always wanted to do that.

27. What is your favorite Sunday comic strip?

Peanuts. Yay, Snoopy!

28. What kind of music do you listen to?

A bit of country and something they used to call alternative. I don't know what they call it now. Am not that hip, I suppose.

29. What is your favorite breakfast cereal?

Apple cinnamon cheerios at the moment. I also flirt with corn flakes.

30. What is your worst habit?

Nail biting, I suppose.
