Getting ready to march
Mar. 13th, 2004 12:21 pmSomehow I've managed to put my entire left foot to sleep. It feels pretty strange.
I'm starting to get very excited and a bit nervous about Monday's protest march. And I've discovered there's lots of stuff I need to go and get. I'm debating taking the digital camera or not; I guess whether I do take it depends a lot on if I can find a case for it today or not. I keep meaning to get one, though, so it's not a big deal if I find the case but decide not to take the camera.
It'd be cool to have it, but... It's my baby, you know? Don't want anything to happen to it. I'm not too worried about muggers in the big city- yes, go on, mess with the large crowd of protesting college students, why don't you? But it would be the camera's first outing... Hmm.
I'm neglecting my algebra again (or still) but I have till Wednesday to get caught up, so I think I'll be alright. Algebra teacher gave us midterm grades yesterday, and I have a B-. So there. I'm also pretty sure I have an A in Soc, so I'm not too worried about it.
This is going to be fun, and educational, and hopefully make a difference. We have meetings with two local legislators, so even if the Governator decides to ignore us, maybe the local reps will remember that we showed up. Although I was talking with Mom, and she made the point that we're probably the first protesters Arnold will have seen since he took office, so... yeah.
We were in the local paper on Friday, and on the front page of the school paper, too. I'm sort of hoping the news will pick us up. They probably won't film me, but I'll know I was somewhere out in that crowd of people.
