Glasses Saga Continues
Jun. 10th, 2003 10:49 am11 days till OoP, and I *heart* my Tom Riddle icon. Made him the default and everything.
I was right about my glasses, of course- base curve is still wrong. Closer to what it should be, but still wrong.
And the really amusing part is that I was told that the glasses basically can't be done in the special ultra-light polycarb crap, which 1.) I told the moron who ordered the glasses wouldn't work (he was too busy trying to flirt with me to pay attention) and 2. I didn't want anyway, because I knew it wouldn't work.
But, you know, who the hell am I to say? I'm just the person who's been dealing with these people my whole life, just the person who wears the glasses and knows they're really hard to make in thin materials, because the perscription is so fucking weird.
Of course, the last time they messed up this pair of glasses and made me see the doctor (even though it wasn't the doc's screwup), I walked out of there with a note, signed by said doctor, saying basically that they needed to do what I told them. I *heart* my doctors, as well. Made my day, let me tell you.
Perhaps by the end of the summer I'll have my new glasses? *grumble*

There is a mosquito bite in the middle of my back. I can barely reach it with my fingers, and for some reason I can't reach it at all with the Benadryl pen. Covered half my shoulder with the stuff trying, though. If I'm lucky I got a bit on the bite itself, but I don't think I did.
Argh!
I know exactly where this is coming from, too- there's a lovely little bit of standing water at the foot of our stairs. If I could think of a way to do it, I'd go downstairs and fill in the hole.
I love summer.
