This is the first chance I've really had all week to sit down and update this thing. The first week of school is always a little crazy, but this semester it seems worse than usual. I think my winter break was just long enough for me to get used to getting up and going to bed when I wanted to. Then school hits, and, well, this week has been... interestng in that department. Translation? I really, really hate mornings.

Anyway, my classes are going well, but I still wish I'd been able to schedule them a little bit better. *smacks the campus mail room again* Math is, if not a lot of fun, at least comprehensible- right now we're reviewing Algebra II stuff, which I'm okay with.

History of the British Isles ROCKS. Words cannot express how much I love this class. I got an almost two-hour lecture yesterday on Celtic culture. It was quite spiffy. And my teacher seems pretty willing to let us go off on mini-tangents about things vaguelly related to the subject matter, like suggesting any and all British-related topics for our two writing assignments. I expected to have to write research papers in this class, and instead I have one writing assignment on a book, another on a movie, connected somehow to British culture.

She says Harry Potter is fine (no, I didn't ask, someone else did) but I don't think I really want to do that. I haven't quite figured out what I'm doing yet, but I have so many options just based on stuff we have at home, it's almost unreal.

The problem is that I've hardly felt like I had time to breathe this week, let alone do anything else. I managed to get one topic response for TM written out on Monday after my class, but that's all I've done on the writing front all week. And it's beginning to make me a little insane.

One of the things I need to do this weekend is sit down and plot out my time a little better, so that I'm not just scrambling around like this. If one TM topic a week is all I can get done all semester, the classes won't matter, because I'll go nuts. I need to do more than that.

I probably should've warned people that I'd be so out of it this week, but honestly, I didn't think it would be this bad. I'd forgotten how light my schedule really was last semester after I dropped Stats. I'm really, really sorry. And yeah, so far I'm still alive.

In car news, the insurance company finally offically totalled the Camrey, and settled the claim. Took them long enough! So we're going car shopping on Saturday. What fun. But if all goes well, we'll come home with a brand new, shiny Carrola.

I am SO glad it's Friday. And I get Monday off! I think I need it... I just hope I don't have to spend the whole day catching up on sleep, that'd be kind of sad.

Anyway. Still alive over here, so far. Though I'm gonna have to go walk to the bus stop in a bit. I tell you, my joy knows no bounds. :)
