Serious stuff

Hey, guys.
Everyone should read the wonderful post my friend
eilanhp made about organ donation. She also has info there on bone marrow and blood donation.
I feel really, really strongly about this stuff. Nobody likes to think about dying, obviously- I don't. But for years and years I've told my family, if I die and my organs can be of use to someone else, I want them donated.
Eilan is collecting links and info on organ donation in different countries- she has stuff on the US, Canada, Austria, and Germany so far- so if some of you who live in other places could do a little digging and drop her a link or two, that'd be really, really awesome.
And please consider being an organ donor, and/or at least donating blood. I've done blood donation before, and it's not that bad. I hate needles, like most people, but it only hurts a little bit and is usually kind of sore the next day, but that's about it.
It can even be fun. I dragged a group of my friends in to donate one time- my old Camarilla chapter, actually. So the Fresno Blood Center got invaded by a group of gamers. It was great. There were about eight of us, and though a couple of us couldn't donate, we saved a lot of lives that night. And had a hell of a good time doing it. Okay, so I had to drag a couple of the guys in from the parking lot where they were morosely smoking their last cigs, but I got 'em in the door.
Need I add, to anyone who knows gamers, that the free junk food played a major role in this? :)
