I have to BS my way through a maximum of 700 words on some myths-related subject by 11:00 AM tomorrow morning- AKA the first of two short papers I'm supposed to be writing for my class.
And I do not care. I have a stack of library books on my bed I should be flipping through and taking notes from, but all I want to do is kick back in my crappy desk chair (only not, because it might fall over, peice of junk that it is) listen to CDs, and write stuff. Which is, um, what I've been doing all day.
I hate college sometimes, I really do.
And yes, I am aware that I am a lazy dork. I don't really care.
I plan on writing my paper around 1AM or so, then passing out. I'll be up till then anyway. I swear, if I didn't have to type this thing, I wouldn't even bother writing it tonight. Really. Yes, it's due tomorrow. Sort of. In the sense of "the window of time to turn in short paper #1 is closing and the window to turn in short paper #2 is opening." My prof has a very flexible relationship with his due dates. Which seemed like a good thing at the start of the semester, and is now just driving everyone in the class crazy. Sort of like the open-endedness of the topics for the papers themselves.
I can't face this yet. I have fic to work on, and muses who've just decided they're speaking to me again after all.

and fic is more fun anyway

Date: 2004-10-20 12:50 pm (UTC)Mmm, procrastination. Isn't it such fun?
That's exactly why I like fic- because I can write what I want, when I want. No deadlines. (Except the HP cookie jar ficlet they've probably given to someone else by now, or the essay I signed up to write about Moody...)

Good luck with your projects hon.
