I woke up with Uberzit forming in the middle of my chin and a screaming sinus headache. One side of my head feels like it's going to fall off, and all I really want to do is crawl back to bed. I've mentioned I'm not a morning person, right? Thought so.
Instead I get to- wait for it- go to class. Then I get to come home and pack. Ooooh, fun. /sarcasm.
We already have that pre-trip stress going around here, and it's such a thrill, really. Mom's going nuts, I'm going nuts, and they still expect us to do regular stuff like work and classes.
I have to admit that while I'm looking forward to the wedding, I'm a bit scared by my grandmother and what she might do. Because Grandma is one to stress and freak out and make the rest of us feel it, and one of us will have to try and find a tactful way to say "sit down and shut up, you're the mother of the groom and this ain't your show." Yes. I foresee an argument or ten. I will be accused of 1.) having a bad attitude, 2.) being hostile, or 3.) just not cooperating (read as- doing what she wants exactly as I'm told like a good little drone or 4-year-old.)
We're having pizza and going bowling with my soon-to-be-auntie's family Friday night- yes, after the 3-hour drive from Fresno, I get to meet strangers, be social, and be scolded for not bowling by my grandmother. Who does not bowl because of a bad back. Me, I don't bowl because 1.) I have no interest and 2.) I'm not very good.
I told them I'd show up for the pizza, though. Never known a college student to turn down pizza, and I won't either.
Okay, I'm off to grab some food and some Tylenol before *yay* school...
