I had one of those mornings when I just rolled out of bed somewhat with the program. No, I have no idea how this happened either, but I don't trust it, so I smacked my clock radio alarm till it shut up, and went to the kitchen for a soda.
I have to tell you guys, before it slips my mind to mention it- I was out at Togo's last night getting sandwitches after I got my hair cut. And I see this "What. The. Hell?" look cross the face of the person making my sandwitch. Then she says something like, "Is he serious with the horse?"
I was like, horse? So I turn to look out the window. And there is, I kid you not, a man riding a horse down the sidewalk on a six-lane major thoroughfare. At first I thought, mounted police maybe? But no. Just some guy in a cowboy hat, riding a horse. Down Shaw Avenue. He crossed at the crosswalk. Waited for the light and everything.
I'm still laughing about this.
Apparently he does this quite often, as some people had seen him riding down the street before. What I can't figure out is where he's coming from and where he's going. It's all office buildings and shopping around there- I mean, he rode past the mall! Also, I'd think the traffic would spook the poor horse, but maybe the horse is used to it by now?
Anyway. After I stopped laughing about the whole thing, my first thought was, this has to be an LJ post. So there you all are. :)
Thursday. My last day of class for the week, yay! And you know what'd be really cool? If half of my Classic Myths class would do the reading assignment. Honestly. I swear I'm one of the few people who read both the chapters he assigned, not just one. And did the worksheet.
Okay, yes, the intro chapters are boring. Aren't they always? I still read them, because, hello, assignment? *shakes head* I don't get people, you guys. Really.
And the Freshmen Menace (it's earned capitalization, I think) has got to be stopped. Grr, argh, ack. Too annoying for words. They still can't figure out that the quiet room in the library is supposed to be, you know, quiet, and I finally realized I'm going to go nuts waiting for them to figure it out. So today we're bringing the portable CD player. *hugs CD player*
Ack, must dash. More later if I survive. :)
