Redesign of least-visited fansite on Earth

Long story short: I have a sad, sad obsession with a rather minor and very misunderstood character from a rather sad old fandom.

Being me, of course, I have a fansite.

Which I just started redesigning, because the old version was... well, it's been annoying me for ages, but no one visits it, so who cares, right?

Anyway, I could use a second opinion or two, on the design or lack thereof.

That is what it looks like now.

This is what I'm thinking of changing the layout to.

Better? Worse?
