One very dead ancient Toyota

Our car is so dead.
Not in the sense that it died, but in the sense that it's gonna. Ran out to Target to get some stuff tonight, and when we came out, we noticed that one of the front tires has issues. Like it's kind of cracking. Stupid bloody useless thing.
See, the car knows. It knows that Mom got that raise and that we're getting a new car. It knows its days are numbered. And this is its answer.
So we came home and called my uncle, who is car guy, to see if he knew of a good place in town to get new tires put on. Turns out he has tires that will work, and also knows a place. He's making noises about giving them to us, the tires, but he made the mistake of telling Mom how much he paid for them. So our plan is to not even argue with him about it- and give the money to my soon-to-be Auntie. I like this plan very much, having come up with it myself.
For some reason, livejournal hates me. I keep trying to reply to comments, only to be told that I cannot reply to a comment that doesn't exist. (A comment which, by the way, is still there when I reload the page). I swear, this new way of replying to/posting comments is for crap.
And once again I am rather bored. This concerns me. It should probably concern you, too. :)

Date: 2004-06-25 01:03 am (UTC)I think I might know what LJ's problem is. I saw a comment posted in a friend's journal, about how someone had gone on NPR and raved about livejournal. I'm not sure, but I think it could be possible. If we just got a ton of new users and people surfing around... I just hope it mellows out soon, whatever it is. Took me three tries to log in, and each try took a while.
