urbandruidI am getting entirely sick of seeing one particular brand of OotP fic- but I can't seem to stop reading it anyway.
depressed!grieving!missingSirius!Remus fic.
I get the update emails from FictionAlley (usually I skim them for stuff by people I know, anything Snape, anything McGonagall) and I skim through them and it's all, Remus, post-OotP. Remus sad, Remus suicidal, Remus who occasionally goes to bed with Tonks for various reasons. I'm not adverse to Tonks getting some, as I rather like her, but hell, enough already.
I am writing my own reaction fic. And it's going to be Snape, and- Yeah. Something different, because damnit I have had enough.
Yes, I like Remus too, and I feel bad for him, whether you think he's lost his best friend or his lover, but this is approaching ridiculous.
I have decided to review everything I read today, as opposed to only the things I really like. And I'm even going to be nice, though you probably wouldn't believe it of me.
So FictionAlley seems to have changed their submission guidelines a bit; they'll take anything 500 words or over. Which means that even my shorter stuff, like 'To Stand Together' can be submitted now. Yay. Will send them 'The Best of Hands', the previously untitled OoP era fic, once I finish editing it, and figure out how the hell you spell the Hogwarts nurse's name- I had it down once, but I've forgotten it now, and there are two different spellings in the fic. Whoops.
