Way to tell them. Being the beta for E&E and all (and, yes, I promise I'll get around to betaing the new one someday!!!) I never noticed anything about Snape placing unnecessary emphasis on beauty and youth. I mean, sure, some people think he's too cold to see ANYthing about life or a person as being beautiful, but chuh! I say.
