Ugh... dentist
Jul. 5th, 2005 11:58 amMy paid LJ time expired the other day. I now have three choices for icons- my default, which is local girl Syd, vampire Willow "Bored now", or the animated Jack "don't mess with me, 'cause I can kick your ass" one.
Soon enough I think I'll break down and buy more paid time. Maybe not more icons, but paid time for sure, because the lack of icons is irritating.
Speaking of which, I have to go to a checkup at the dentist's office today. Bleh. I really don't want to go. I don't think they'll find anything, and if they do, it won't be major, but... That's kinda what I thought last year, except for the one tooth that needed a crown that I already knew about... But last year I ended up with two crowns and a colony of fillings.
Of course, when I whined about this to Mom (she whines about her dentist appointments too, so we're even there) she pointed out that last year, I hadn't been to see the dentist for a while, because my old one made me angry and I hadn't found a new one yet. Actually, my old one upset me a lot. I have very large roots in my teeth, it's a family thing, and it takes a lot to get me numb for dental work. The guy I used to see never used enough, and it never quite covered all the teeth he was going to work on. The last time I saw him was for a filling, and when I was in obvious pain and discomfort, he opted not to give me another shot because "it'll just be another couple minutes." It was fifteen, and I was in tears from the pain. Never went back there again.
So, I like my new dentist a lot, he's nice and friendly and gives lots of shots, AND gas, which I appreciate. He does good work, his office staff is always nice... But I don't wanna go!
