May. 4th, 2005 06:46 amUgh. I was up till almost 1:00 AM last night finishing this stupid writeup of some random object for my damned art class. Although actually, not that random. It was the only one on her list I could find. She gave us the artists' names, but no titles, and most of them had two or three things. She gave us directions to the stuff, unfortunatly I neglected to bring my compass with me that day, so your guess is as good as mine to which the "northwest gallery wall" might've been. Grrrrr. Everyone complained about this, and what does she do? Make some joke about how this project is also a test of our navigational skills, apparently, hahaha. Thank Gods there was one I could find ("pedastle in middle of gallery") because if there hadn't been... Well, surprisingly, my distance navigation is less than stellar.
Yeah, that was almost 100% sarcasm.
I wish it was Friday, but clearly I haven't suffered enough yet.
My birthday was good, though, or at least the part I didn't spend at school. School was less than fun. Ended up swinging at a couple people with my cane who think it's cool to shoulder past me, because hey, I'm blind, I can't tell, right? Yeah, you wish, dude. Even the blind people I know would've known this guy was there- he passed so close he stirred up a little breeze.
Hell, the old friend who taught me the appropriate way to smack someone in the ankles with a cane would have hit him when she swung; I missed, but not by much.
She was awesome, and we haven't talked in ages. There was this small incident with her calling me long distance, a lot, and her parents going slightly postal, when we were in high school. It's possible she's still grounded...
I think I'll Google her when I get home.
Anyway, the really amusing part of swinging the cane at that idiot was seeing the reaction of the person who saw the whole thing. Eyes got really wide, and they gave me a great deal of space as they went past.
Yeah, isn't that how it's supposed to work?
*sigh* I don't wanna go to school.
It's pretty likely, since I'm short a couple hours of sleep, that I'm falling over when I get home. That really sounds like a plan. Just wish I could fall asleep now.
