(And on the subject of brains, has anybody seen mine? Knew I left it around here someplace... *tosses aside notebooks, CDs, ect, grumbles, keeps looking*)

It's supposed to be 102 today. And I get to go out into the heat and play with stupid freshmen.

Ah, college. Little pests had better stay out of my way though, because no matter how cool they were in high school, this is my world now. The one where it actually counts more if you show up on time and do your work than it does how cool you think you are.

I keep telling myself this, anyway. :)

Still am not feeling the love for Tuesdays, though. And there's something really horrible about the idea of how hot it's going to be today coupled with my sinuses going haywire. Half of my head feels like it's going to explode, and the other just feels icky. It's going to be a long day.

...Crap. I never did do that Myths reading. Oh well. One presumes I can get it done in the 3 hours before class.

And I honestly thought I'd have time to tag people and reply to comments this morning. Hah! I always forget how out of it I am this time of day. I think I'm off to grab some Tylenol and maybe even chase it with some breakfast.

If the Tylenol doesn't kick in quickly enough, those bloody freshmen had really better watch it.

I don't feel like doing much of anything. So I'm sitting here sorting old Harry Potter fanfic, trying to figure out what's what, and what's worth picking up again someday. Some of this stuff is worse than I remembered, but some of it's better, too.

I have this really perverse desire to totally rewrite Emerald and Ebony. Or maybe not rewrite it, but revisit some of the ideas in it. The letters. The scene in the Great Hall when Snape comes back. nonSquib!young!Gryffindor!Arabella Figg. Pansy Parkinson, and the really dark backstory that's been in my head ever since one throwaway line...

Must ponder this at some point.

In other news, my allergies are going nuts. I have no idea why, they just are. I had that headache this morning, took some Tylenol for it, and it went away. I went to class and came home. And I don't think my nose has stopped running since I got home. Every couple minutes I sneeze violently.

I think it may have something to do with living in the Dust Bowl. Because I do, really. Dunno what it is with this place, but it's got more dust than any other place I've ever lived. Doesn't matter how often we clean or vacuum or change the air filters, it's still the Dust Bowl.
