(no subject)

Midnight, a week from today, I'm going to Barns & Noble for Order of the Phoenix. I can't wait.

I've just realized, though, that I have nothing to wear. No house badges, no spiffy Slytherin uniform I keep swearing to myself I'll make someday...nothing. I have a very cool Hogwarts bookbag, but that's it.

*sigh* Oh well. At the rate J. K. Rowling writes, I'll have time to come up with something before book 6, right?

Anyway. Going to bed, I think.

Ahhh, so that's what it is

Figured out what the problem may be with my WinDVD captures. Only trouble is that I don't know how to fix it. The help files, which really aren't very helpful, told me I might want to try unchecking this "motion compensation" thingy in the settings.

Right. Wonderful idea. But I can't do that, because it and several other things are all faded out and checked, in that "hah, you can't touch me!" sort of way that Windows has.

I am either going to get this, or I'm going to- well, I don't know. Beating the software senseless seems the thing to do.

I'm still rather annoyed, but now that I know what the problem is, I'm going to fix it.

Just don't ask me how. I'm still a little shaky on that part.

Too many stupid observations

Things I have learned today-

Evanscence isn't conductive to writing anything but dark creepy angst. Really.

I can't stop listening to it anyway.

A week is a long time.

The pile of CDs that migrates daily from my desk to my bed and back can't go on the shelf; there's no room for it.

I should have started writing Naricssa Malfoy a long time ago.

It's only a matter of time before I start writing X-Men movieverse fic.

I have too many works in progress. Well, I knew that one a while ago.

Maybe...maybe...

Found the WinDVD CD fishing through computer stuff...so we're gonna try reinstalling the bloody thing.

*crosses fingers*

Well. Three cheers for reinstalling.

That was very exhausting, though. Now I'm too tired to do anything with the screencaps I got. But I got them.

Yay.

Whew. I think I need a nap now, or something.

Still can't get the options menu stuff to come up, but the image capture is working anyway, so I'm not messing with it.

When I get my energy back, though, this is going to be trouble. :)
