Friday Five

Because I'm bored, and procrastinating is fun:
thefridayfive:
1. Are you related to anyone famous or do you have any famous friends? If so, who?
Well, I'm not, but within two or three degrees I can get you to a lot of cool people. (And some not so cool ones.) One of my aunts is a showbiz hairdresser. I once got into a fight with someone over Martha Stewart. I was making fun of Martha for that whole insider trading thing, and this lady got all huffy at me. "Well, they say she's guilty, but I'm sure she's a very lovely woman..." Yes, well. My aunt is sure she isn't, and I trust my auntie.
Oh, and my mom has friends who've met Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young. Next meet-and-greet that the official fan club does at a concert she can get to, Mom is so there. :)
2. Do you have any autographs or memorabilia?
Hahahahahahaha. I have a small ton of autographs- most of the autographed Babylon 5 CCG cards; I'm missing President Sheridan, Ranger Lennier, and, I think there was a Londo one? Prime Minister Mollari, possibly? I should go track those down on eBay some year... I also have a few autographed pics, two from local Star Trek cons (Gates McFadden & John de Lancie) and another of Mira Furlan I bought on eBay, which I'm... 75% convinced is legit. I saw Michael Dorn and James Doohan at a local con in the '90's, but none of the cons here were doing autographs by then. And, alas, I bought my Gates autograph from her people, so I didn't get to meet her either. (Again, no lines.) She was my favorite, too...
Oh, and there's the copy of Star Wars: Survivor's Quest, that I have signed by the author, Timothy Zahn. (To Christine, Best Wishes, Timothy Zahn.)
Memorabilia, hang on a second... *dies laughing* Okay, now that I have that out of my system- have you seen my house? It's everywhere! I can see eight action figures from where I'm sitting (Darla and Willow from Buffy, my X2 Magneto, and the customs figures of River, Jack, and Irina that I commissioned from a very nice woman on the BTVSfigs forum. Then there's the large bag currently holding the figures that usually go on the bookshelf in front of my CDs, because I'm sort of in the middle of sorting the CDs. That's been going on for... a few months now. Oh, and there's a Serenity comic peeking out from a stack of books by the dresser.
Then there's the rest of the house. Buffy, Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Dr. Who, Lord of the Rings, X-men, Stargate, Tomb Raider, Harry Potter... It's everywhere, and it's not even all mine. Posters, toys, action figures, books, comics, R2-D2 keychains, DVDs, video games... Oh, and my Peanuts stuff. Snoopy Christmas ornaments, the Snoopy Christmas mug I'm drinking out of right now, the Charlie Brown Christmas snow globe... and my ever growing collection of holiday plush Snoopies. (Snoopi?) My favorite is Halloween Snoopy, with black purple lined satin cape and fake felt vampire teeth.
Remind me someday and I'll take pictures of all of this, including the Star Wars shrine we call the office.
3. If you could meet any 3 celebrities who would they be?
Jeeze, only three? You guys are no fun. Okay... J. Michael Straczynski, Lena Olin, and... Sir Ian McKellen. There are a lot more I'd pick if I could- half the cast of B5 and Crusade, really, starting with Peter Woodward and Melissa Gilbert. (Whose name I actually blacked out on for a second there.) And a lot of authors. Most of my favorite celebrities are writers, and some of them probably aren't that famous.
4. What would you want to be famous for doing?
Easy. Writing.
5. Who's the most annoying celebrity?
But I hate so many... Alright, Tom Cruise/the Katiebot. Not sure you can separate them these days, and since between them they maybe have half a brain, I guess that's okay.
