Sick? Say it ain't so!

urbandruidIt's possible I'm sick. Or just really miserable with allergies. I can't tell. I took a nap yesterday afternoon, woke up with a really sore throat, and have felt basically crappy since. Now I'm tired and achy, too, and it's not looking good.
Not sure where I might have picked up this thing- could've been a lot of places. School, the bus, my new doctor's office when I went in the other day... I try to avoid people who look obviously sick, but who doesn't, right? I'm going to take some Advil Cold & Sinus later- never tried it for anything cold-like, but it works well on the sinus stuff, so I'm hopeful.
I really don't wanna be sick on Halloween.
I'm doing my annual "baffle the classmates" costume. Last time I had a class on Halloween, I dressed up as a Psi Cop. I lost count of the "WTF?" looks I collected. And since everyone stares at me like I'm a freak anyway (yeah, still carrying the cane, and they haven't gotten tired of staring at it yet, morons) I figure why not give 'em something else to stare at? So I'm dying my hair today.
Red. Sydney Bristow in the first episode of Alias, red. Or, okay, not quite that bright, but only because I couldn't find a dye that would do that with hair as dark as mine. So we're going for a sort of cranberry. I haven't decided if I'm going to try and scare up a graphic or two to photoshop into a CIA ID I can print out and clip to my belt or something, or if I'm just going to wander around and be obscure. "Yeah, I'm that chick from Alias, you know? You don't? Stop watching Survivor and check it out."
It was either that or Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and apparently you can buy any kind of plastic axe or sword your heart desires, but there are no fake crossbows.
And I sorta don't think I should carry a real one, temping as that is.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow night. We haven't had trick-or-treaters in ages, since you don't really get many in apartments. But there are tons of kids around here, so that should be fun. We even have candy, though we did have to go out and buy more, because we ate it all. They make baby Tootsie Roll Pops now. Too cute.
Depending on how horrible I feel later, I may or may not take pictures of the Syd hair. Maybe if I can photoshop out the giant zit that decided to form on my chin... and the dark circles under my eyes, and... Hey! I know! I'm Syd after the dentist from hell gets hold of her.

I'm gonna go eat something and pop that Advil C&S, and hope it helps.
