Who gave Harry his Nimbus Two Thousand?
Unfortunately I loaned out my copy of SS, but it says in there when Harry get's his Nimbus 2000 that there is a note:
"Inside is your new Nimbus 2000. Don't open it at the table.
Professor McGonagall"
So it's obvious that McGonagall gave Harry the Nimbus 2000 so that the Griffindor House would have a Seeker with a broom.
