I think that's it exactly- they're reserved in public, which they have to be. And the Gryffindor/Slytherin dynamic- yes, absolutely. I agree. Which will really surprise you, I'm sure. :)
Removing fics from FA...hmm. Not sure really, but I would think you could email them and ask them to take your fic down for you if you really wanted to. As long as you leave it around somewhere- I'd like to read it.
Oh, ff.net just bothers me sometimes. It's always crashing, and while they say they accept HTML files I've never been able to get one of mine to upload right. Little things like that which annoy me a lot sometimes. Plus, a lot of the fic is...kind of bad. The downside to the automatated process- but I do like that. It's easy to get things up, when it works.
I absolutely agree about exploring what isn't in canon- it's half the fun. But I'll tell you, never in any other fandom have I gotten so much crap about going outside canon- actually that's not what I've been told. The phrasing people use is, this is wrong. Which pushes my "Slytherin sarcasm" buttons real quickly. And if I hear Minerva McGonagall is 70 one more time...
Yep, it's the snowball fic! It would have made a nice vignette, too. Not that I mind, really- I'm having fun with the snowball.
Shudder. Please never say Filch and sexy in the same sentence again. Yeesh. I can't imagine why- Maybe they should be emailed about this. Strange how they think around there, though; Voldemort is Lord V. I'm sure most of us can figure out who that is, but what if they'd done You-Know-W.? Look kind of silly, wouldn't it?
Thank you for the long, rambly comment; I like long rambly comments, and I also like responding to them.
Hope you like the fic, but don't feel obligated to tell me it doesn't suck if you think it does. :)
