Oy... I may just end up doing a clean reinstall of Windows and everything else, it actually sounds less scary than messing with the system32 stuff. Plus the last time I uninstalled all my Norton stuff, the computer freaked the hell out. It has issues to begin with, so I try not to make it mad if I can help it.
