Want grades now...
*drums fingers on desk*
I have a million things I ought to be doing right now. Notice me not doing any of them. I did pick up a little around the apartment, though. I always thrash the place so badly during finals week, and when finals are over, I look up one day and can't deal with the place looking like it's Florida during hurricane season anymore. So, I pick stuff up. Until I get tired of picking stuff up. Then I go back to the computer, look at the to-do list from hell, and kind of just freak out a bit.
I emailed my Algebra prof earlier today about my grade, because I'm too much of a chicken to call him- I have this phone anxiety thing in general, so there's no way I could call about grades. So now I just check my email every two seconds. WebAdvisor, our funky system for grades and whatnot, is of course, down. They say it'll be back up on the 24th, but I don't put much faith in the dates they post on there anymore. I'm very tempted to kick the IS people at City sometimes. Most of the time the thing is fine, but when registration gets going, and/or the whole student body wants (for some reason) their semester grades, the server just can't handle the load, and it sort of implodes. I guess they figure, just because it only happens twice a year, they don't really need to do anything about it. Cheapskates...
I don't mind waiting until the 24th or so for my Art grade- don't really care, and I figure I probably passed- but I would really, really like to know what my Algebra II grade is.
I just hope he checks his email sometime today.
And, of course, being me, I'm now paranoid that the email somehow got lost in the eather of the internet, vanishing to wherever lost emails go, never to be seen again...Yes, I am a dork. I'm sure it's sitting in the prof's inbox now, along with a few others from people who actually care about their grades. (Which would be his other classes, 'cause mine sure didn't. Idiots...) But like I was telling
g_shadowslayer today, I just want to know what the grade is, so I can stop thinking about it, stop worrying about it, and get on with enjoying my summer.
*checks email again* Nada. I should really only bother to do this every couple hours, since finals run for two hours or so each, and if the prof's not in his office, that's how long it'll be before he might be.
Yeah. Me, go two whole hours without checking my email when I'm sitting at the computer. Don't think so.
I should go do something useful, of course, like start cleaning out the files on the Mac. Or I could just take a magnet and go wave it at the stack of disks, so I wouldn't have to look at really bad fanfic I wrote back in the Dark Ages.
Hmm. Am I that bored?
Sadly, yeah.
